Daphna Weinstock’s official speaking career began in 2015 when she gave a TEDx talk about theatre in the differently-abled community at TEDxNorthwesternU. She has also written for multiple blogs on the topic. Inspired by her advocacy work and her training in theatre education, Daphna founded Outspkn that same year to promote communication and diversity of voice among people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Since founding the company, Daphna has worked with schools, businesses, and individuals all across the state, witnessing and aiding in inspiring success after success. Watching her clients grow has brought her much joy and pushed her to become even more outspoken herself.

Education Background

Daphna graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors from Northwestern University with a module in Theatre for Young Audiences. While at college, she interned with theatre companies all across Chicago, including Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Chicago Children’s Theatre, and Adventure Stage Chicago. After graduation, Daphna moved back to New York and assumed the position of Public Programs Supervisor at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. She also founded the Education and Community Outreach positions at DreamStreet Theatre Company, a theatre ensemble dedicated to sharing the voices of adults with developmental disabilities. She brings all these teaching and leadership roles into her dynamic work as communications coach with Outspkn.
